The Madagascar hissing cockroach (Gromphadorhina portentosa), also known as the hissing cockroach or simply “hisser”, are some of the largest roach species in the world. They can reach up to 3 inches in length, and their unusually large size and generous protein content make them excellent feeders for large insectivores. You can dust/gut load Hissers like other feeders, and lot of animals love them.
Be sure to feed your Hisser Roaches as soon as you get them set up, they have been without food and water since they left our facility, and will be hungry. Our feeder insects are shipped without any wet/moist food as it can cause a rise in humidity and mold to grow in the shipment.
