Be sure to feed your Mealworms as soon as you get them set up, they have been without food and water since they left our facility, and will be hungry. We always send extra in case some didn't make it during transit. Our feeder insects are shipped without any wet/moist food as it can cause a rise in humidity and mold to grow in the shipment.
There are two options for keeping your mealworms.
Option 1:
Cupped Mealworms can be placed directly into your fridge. Take out the cup(s), allow the mealworms to warm up, and offer them some food before feeding. You can give them fresh sliced carrots, potatoes, apples, cabbage, celery, and much more. Do not feed them onion, garlic, tomato stems/plants, or citrus. If you're storing mealworms in your fridge be sure to take them out every couple of weeks to warm up and feed them to keep them fresh and hydrated.
Option 2:
Bulk Mealworms can be set up in a tub with wheat bran (not included). Feed them every other day, they love sliced carrots, potatoes, apples, cabbage, celery, etc. Do not feed them onion, garlic, tomato stems/plants, or citrus.
